I'm a grad student living in the city, so even though I have a desire to get out and start learning about wild edibles, I don't have much time or brainpower to do so. However, as Creek points out, just about all of us can recognize an acorn, so being able to start with this familiar nut and walk through the process of harvesting and processing them into a nutritious and viable food was incredibly interesting. I actually think I'll be able to put these skills into practice, which is awesome!

Thanks Creek for giving us all the information we need to get started harvesting and eating acorns : ) we are quite happy with the course (But we were surprised when you microwaved your beautiful food! My son said “Ha! Even Creek uses the microwave Mama!” thinking that would encourage me to allow him to - I am always chasing him away from that as I want him to learn how to cook. So he thinks he scored a vote for the quick solution ; ) We are super excited! My son is currently singing a little song to himself “We can make anything with Acorns! Yay!” Thanks again for sharing your wisdom in such a simple step by step manner. You are an amazing part of our homeschooling.
