I really enjoyed this course as it taught basic navigation that we all can learn and understand. Joel is very easy to listen and learn from as he teaches you how to use a compass and in the woods demonstration which was very useful to see how it all works together. I highly recommend this course! The extra course on making your own ranger beads was very helpful!

This is the kind of information everyone should have before venturing into the woods, it can make life easier at best and literally save your life at worst. Joel did an outstanding job showing hands-on how it’s done. What I like the best is that with just a basic navigation kit of compass, notepad and pencil you can have the confidence that you won’t be lost and you will be able to return, every time.

I really enjoyed the course. I thought everything was covered at a depth everyone could understand. I headed to the woods the day after course completion to begin practicing the skills. I started in a heavy wooded area with abundant brush. I had a little trouble Dead Reckoning and Straight Line Home there. Practicing in a little more open area made going to that landscape easier. Where is your Arkansas facility located. We have family located on White River in Mountain Home. We have property by Creeks facility in Indiana. He also is gifted in his skills and teaching.
