Really enjoyed this class and Hanks teaching style! The pace is perfect for applying the skills as you go and there’s a huge amount of detail he shares from his knowledge and experience. Not only do you get the sharpening skills but you get a lot of extra tips and tricks for using materials that you might have laying around or are easy to find, building your own set up, or safe ways to practice. Also had a question about sharpening high carbon steel which Hank responded to right away. Definitely recommend this course if you are interested in building your sharpening skills! Also get yourself a whiskey knife if you like really cool, sharp knives.

I've been 'taught' by older teen boys and cousins, by 'mountain men', by petty officers and Chief Petty Officers, and by Industrial Arts instructors, but this is The Best sharpening course I have ever had.

I thoroughly enjoyed this knife sharpening course. I've sharpened knives all different ways that I've seen my Grandfather and Father do but never really understood about the burr. I've watched many You tube videos on knife sharpening but nothing explained or showed it like this course does. I know I can bring any knife and even my machete's to a "scary sharp edge now that I understand exactly what I'm doing. Thank you so much!

Whether you carry an inexpensive knife or something high end, your knife deserves this video. I have been sharpening knives for decades and never had a knife this sharp before. If you use a knife on a regular basis this course is worth its weight in gold.

This course was awesome! Hank taught it very down to Earth and easy to understand. He showed me things I would have never thought of including additional ideas of taking sharpening materials/tools in the field which take up minimal space in your pack. I am a knife maker myself (although not near as experienced as Hank) and I learned techniques and gathered ideas I did not have before taking this course. I would recommend this course to anyone, beginner or experienced alike.

Really increased my understanding! For years I have been using a stone and probably seldom developing a burr! That explains why my knives are scary dull when I use a whetstone. Great pace and very useful tips. I'm ready to really make some knives sharp. Thanks!
